Citizen Commitment Week

On the 25th of October the Friends’ Night 2011 took place, celebrating four years of the Institute Société Générale for Social responsibility. Held at Casa das Caldeiras, in São Paulo, the event brought together 400 guests, including partners, volunteers and young people taking part in social projects.

Among those present were the Fundação Gol de Letra, Casa do Zezinho, Associação Miratus de Badminton, Projeto Guri and Ação Comunitária, and also volunteers and friends.

Celso Estrella, project manager of SG Institute, made a speech at the opening with special thanks. Then the guests watched a video about the history of partnerships and of the four years of operation.

The NGO partners brought presentations: the project Guri led by the children of the Jundiaí region, in addition to young musicians who are part of the scholarship program; then the Miratus de Badminton Association presented the Bamon, a technique with music and choreography, created by the founder Sebastian Oliveira, to train in the Badminton technique; shortly afterwards, the young people from the Gol de Trabalho Project from the Gol de Letra Foundation in Rio de Janeiro, presented a jester in tribute to Société Générale; Finally, Magali Medeiros, singer and musician from Rio de Janeiro, presented unpublished music of hers on things that bring happiness. Magali sang to the Toca Zezinho Orchestra, which closed the presentations.

Guests could have enjoyed tasting small dishes, prepared by young people from the workshop of Gastronomy da Casa do Zezinho and under the supervision of Chef Guilherme Motta.

To end the night, François Dossa, Chairman of Grupo SG, Brazil and Director of the Institute thanked the presence of the guests and invited everyone to take part in a "revolução do bem", in search of citizenship and a better world. The Customi-Z project and GMACZ, group of mothers of the Casa do Zezinho, produced the shirts with the party logo and special words, which were given to the guests as a souvenir.
