As a part of Citizen Commitment Week, SG Group Turkey starts a campaign for collecting books for children who live in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia Regions with the collaboration of TNT and the Association in Support of Contemporary Living (ÇYDD)
Books collected within the term of the campaign are classified voluntarily by TNT Express Turkey, and then delivered to schools that made book requests to the Association in Support of Contemporary Living (ÇYDD).
“This is My Story”
A story contest called “This is My Story” is organized in the wake of Book Collecting Campaign. This annual contest addresses primary education students at schools receiving the books. Students write down their own stories by narrating their feelings after reading the delivered books. All submitted stories are evaluated by a jury and shortlisted students are sent to Istanbul in the company of their teachers for a cultural trip.
On the shelves of a library,
Or in a neglected corner they remain
Incensed and withered.
So many characters,
Stories,
Meanings,
Knowledge within...
Seems forgotten.
Let us revive them...
Let their lives
Become the future of our children...
Let children live with books...
